Juco Prospect Visiting Auburn

Coach Gene Chizik's Tigers are getting an official visit from an out of region prospect.

Mission Viejo, Calif.--Junior college wide receiver Jay Wisner is checking out the Auburn football program this weekend on an official recruiting visit.

A 6-2, 190-pound sophomore from Saddleback College in Orange County located in southern California, he is originally from Bozeman, Montana.

This past season, as a sophomore, he caught 40 passes for 786 yards with six touchdowns. He averaged 19.6 yards per catch. He led his team in receiving yardage and was second in catches.

Those numbers were up substantially from his freshman season when he caught 18 passes for 204 yards without a touchdown reception. As a sophomore he earned second team all-conference honors for the Gauchos, who posted a 7-4 record.

Wisner was an All-State wide receiver at Bozeman High School and played in the Badlands Bowl, matching the top high school football players in Montana vs. the top players in North Dakota.
