Have you gone to any junior days?
Johnson: The first one I went to was Tennessee last Saturday. It was good, it was good. I liked the coaches and the enthusiasm that they bring to the table.
Is Tennessee one of the top schools that you're considering?
Johnson: I'm still pretty open, but they're up there.
Which schools are recruiting you right now?
Johnson: The schools that are recruiting me the hardest are probably Florida, LSU, Auburn, Florida State, USC, Texas, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Arkansas, Minnesota, Penn State, Illinois, Central Florida, South Florida and I think there are a lot of others.
Well what about upcoming junior days. Do you have any scheduled?
Johnson: I'm going to Auburn on this Saturday coming up. I'm just going with the flow and trying to see how it is.
Who is recruiting you for Auburn?
Johnson: Coach (Curtis) Luper. He says that it's a great place. He likes it. He's told me some great stuff.
When did you get the offer from Auburn?
Johnson: About a month ago.
Do you know much about Auburn?
Johnson: They produce really good running backs.
Are you strongly considering Auburn?
Johnson: Yes sir.
How has the transfer to Loganville gone for you?
Johnson: It's been going good.
Have you started spring practice?
Johnson: No sir. We start March 11.
Johnson transferred this semester from Buford High School to Loganville High.
Are you playing any other sports this spring?
Johnson: I run track. I run the 100, 200, long jump and the shot put.
What's your best 100 time?
Johnson: A 10.8.
What about a 40 time?
You've got a long way until signing day. Are you going to have a decision made soon or wait until later?
Johnson: I'm probably going to declare where I'm going during the football season.
When making the decision, what are you going to be looking for?
Johnson: A nice coaching staff, obviously, winning, bowl games, running the ball, if the tailback gets 15 or more carries and coaches making me feel like family. Making me feel like it's a second home.
Do you know what you want to major in?
How would you describe your style as a running back?
Johnson: I'm a big running back with a small running style.
If you had to compare yourself to someone, who would it be?
Johnson: With speed and quickness I'm like Reggie Bush and with my bigness and power I'm like LenDale (White). I'm like Reggie Bush and LenDale mixed into one.
Is there anyone you try to model your game after?
Johnson: I like Adrian Peterson.
What's your height and weight?
Johnson: 6-1, 215.
How long have you been playing football?
Johnson: All of my life. I've always been a safety and running back, but mostly running back.
Do you like playing defense?
Johnson: I don't prefer it for college, but in high school it's cool.
What's your favorite part about playing football?
Johnson: Running the ball and making people look dumb.
Do you have any camps or combines lined up for this summer?
Johnson: Yes sir, the Nike Combine. It's going to be somewhere in Georgia. I don't know exactly where though.
I've got to ask... How did you get your name?
Johnson: My parents just wanted me to have a special name. They wanted me to have a name that stands out when seeing a list of people. Like a big Storm. It's a real name.
Did you have any family that played college sports?
Johnson: My brother Aaron Johnson played at Florida State I think in '91 and '92. He was a middle linebacker.
