Barber Named SEC Player of the Week

Auburn, Ala.—Auburn senior Korvotney Barber has been named the SEC Player of the Week for his performances in the Tigers' wins over Alabama and LSU.

Barber, who averaged 12.8 points and 11.3 rebounds in SEC games this season, had 13 points and 17 boards at Alabama. He had a crucial tip-in with just over a minute remaining with the score tied.

On Senior Day against LSU, Barber had 16 points, 17 rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots.

Defensively he held Tasmin Mitchell to a season low of five points.

The 6-7, 225, senior from Manchester, Ga., led Auburn in rebounds in 13 of 16 SEC games. Five times against SEC competition he had 17 rebounds or more.

For the year, Barber finished first in the SEC in rebounds at 9.8 per game. In SEC games only he averaged 11.3 and was first in both offensive and defensive rebounds.
