AU Coach Interests Recruit From Arkansas

A football recruiting report is featured on 2010 prospect Dakota Mosley.

Little Rock, Ark.--A prior relationship with Auburn's new offensive coordinator convinced tight end prospect Dakota Mosley to make a trip to Auburn's Junior Day earlier this month.

Mosley, a 6-5, 255-pounder from Little Rock Christian Academy, also plays defensive end.

"Auburn is looking at me as a tight end," Mosley tells Inside the Auburn Tigers. "The trip to Auburn was good. I got a better understanding of the offense that Auburn is going to run.

"I built a better relationship with Coach Malzahn and got to meet Coach Boulware, the tight ends coach. Overall, it was a great trip."

Gus Malzahn is Auburn's new offensive coordinator and Jay Boulware is also a member of Coach Gene Chizik's coaching staff.

Mosley says he caught 40 passes for 460 yards and five touchdowns for an 8-3 team last fall. He says that he currently has one scholarship offer from Louisiana Tech.

An honor student who wants to study in pre-medicine, he also plays basketball and is on the track and field team at Little Rock Christian Academy.

"Ever since Gus Malzahn's first year when he came out of high school to go to Arkansas, I have always liked what he has done," the tight end says. "I have always heard great things about him.

"I have had a good relationship with him from the first year he went to Arkansas and then when he went to Tulsa. I went to camps over there with him. He is a person I have always looked up to. He is a great person, a great guy, great role model."
