Tigers vs. Gators Postponed

Severe weather halted play in game one of Auburn's three-game baseball series vs. the Florida Gators.

Auburn, Ala.--Friday's Florida vs. Auburn SEC baseball game has been delayed and postponed until Saturday.

A tornado warning prompted the evacuation of Plainsman Park in the fifth innning with Florida ahead 4-1.

The game is scheduled to resume at 1 p.m. CDT on Saturday. Game two of the three game series will begin 45 minutes after the postponed game is completed.

The Auburn area has been hit by multiple tornado warnings, rain, lightning and hail.

Fans can come to the resumption of the Friday night game at 1pm without a ticket but the stadium will be cleared between games and fans can only re-enter with a ticket to the second game. Tickets for the second game will go on sale beginning at 1:30pm.

Florida's Avery Barnes was at the plate with a 2-2 count when the game was halted after tornado sirens sounded. AU officials cleared Plainsman Park.

The Gators scored three runs in the top of the fourth inning as Barnes led off the inning with a home run to right off of Auburn starter Grant Dayton.

Joseph Sanders's 15th home run of the season narrowed the UF lead to 3-1, but Matt den Dekker hit a solo homer in the top of the fifth inning.
