Armstrong Dials Up SEC Program

Tylisman Armstrong is headed to the SEC. After trying to figure out if he's a senior or junior, the Florida post man got it all figured out and now he's SEC-bound.

Tylisman Armstrong, a 6-foot-8 power forward out of Melbourne (Fla.) Florida Air Academy, is going to play in the SEC … next year. Armstrong, originally a member of the Class of 2010, has worked it out so that he'll be on campus with Jeff Lebo this fall.

"I haven't signed yet but I'm committed to Auburn right now," Armstrong said. "I'm going to Auburn. Something happened with my credits and school and transferring from California to Florida and I ended up getting classified as a senior."

Armstrong averaged 13 points a game this past season. Clemson, Ole Miss, Arizona State and a contingent of other programs were eyeballing whether he was a senior or junior. For the Tigers, it couldn't have worked out better.

"They were the first school that really started recruiting me. They really came at me hard and I took a visit there and I enjoyed it. I felt comfortable with Auburn and Coach Lebo and that was the right place for me."
