How did your visit to Auburn go last weekend?
Richardson: It went real good. I stayed down there the whole weekend. I got to talk to a couple of the players and I got to hang out with them. I talked to the coaches a lot. I like it a lot down there.
Which coaches did you talk to?
Richardson: Coach (Trooper) Taylor and Coach (Curtis) Luper. It was pretty much just those two. I hung out with them pretty much the whole time I was down there.
Which coach is recruiting you?
Richardson: Coach (Tommy) Thigpen is, but Coach Taylor is helping out to because that's the position coach.
What was the best part of the visit?
Richardson: Probably just being down there and hanging out with the players. I thought that was real cool and I felt like I got to know them. We sat and talked and played games and stuff like that.
What are your impressions of the Auburn staff as a whole and their personality?
Richardson: They're just real fun to be around. It's like they joke around and do everything probably like a teen-ager would do. They just like to have fun. Out of a coach, that's something I like. You can play around with them, but when it comes to time to work they're getting down to business.
I know you've got several good offers and other schools you're looking at, but could you see yourself fitting in at Auburn?
Richardson: I could because it's like a family atmosphere. Every time I go down there they're always preaching that. I went down there and I felt like family. When I went down there and hung out, that's pretty much like what me and my family does and me and my friends. We talk, hang out and play games and stuff.
Who did you come with on your last visit? Did your parents or your coach or anybody come with you?
Richardson: I was going to go with my dad, but he couldn't make it. I went down with my brother and my cousin.
The Auburn coaches were out in the limo this week. Did they get a chance to come by your high school?
Richardson: Yes sir.
The media has made a big deal about the limo around the state and it's been talked about a lot. What are your impressions of the coaches traveling around in a limo?
Richardson: Yeah I like it. But I had an interview the other day and it kind of went overboard. They said about the limo that by them coming to recruit me in a limo that it would decide my decision to go to Auburn. I don't know about that...I really liked the limo though. They said last Monday that they were to start coming and recruiting and they were going to take it real serious and they were going to let everybody know.
What are you really looking for in a school? What's going to be the focus for you as you try to narrow it down?
Richardson: Probably the family atmosphere and a school that has great academics in case I don't choose to go to the NFL or anything. I'll have my academics to fall back on.
Do you have an idea right now of what you want to major in?
Richardson: I've been thinking about finance.
Auburn's got a new offensive coordinator this year obviously with Gus Malzahn coming in. Has he or the any of the Auburn coaches told you where you'd fit in to the Auburn offense if you did go to Auburn?
Richardson: Yes sir, they talk about it every time I come down there. They said I'd be a deep threat man. They said I'd be the one catching the ball long. They said I wouldn't have to worry about catching the ball over the middle or anything like that. They said they'd use me as a deep threat.
What are your strengths as a player?
Richardson: Well I'm fast. I've got some moves, but I'm bigger than most cornerbacks and safeties. With my weight and my height, I can run people over. If I had to compare myself to anyone in the NFL it'd probably be T.O. (Terrell Owens) or Larry Fitzgerald.
What's your height and weight right now.
Richardson: I'm 6-4 and weighing 220.
Have you run a 40 recently?
Richardson: Not recently, but back when I was at the Auburn camp (last summer) I ran a 4.4.
Did you grow up a fan of any school?
Richardson: Yes I did. I grew up an Auburn fan. Me and my grandfather were Auburn fans.
As far as a timeline for making a decision, do you have a target time on announcing a decision?
Richardson: No, I think I'm going to wait until signing day to make my decision.
Have you guys started spring practice?
Richardson: We started last week on Tuesday. It feels real good to be back out there.
Where else have you visited this spring other than Auburn?
Richardson: I went to Alabama.
How did you like that visit?
Richardson: I liked it a lot. I got to talk to some of the players and stuff like that.
What about camps, combines or other visits coming up this summer?
Richardson: This summer I'm going to try to go to Nike camps and maybe an Alabama camp and an Auburn camp. I'm going to try to go to Florida. I'm going to try to go to as many camps as I can.
