"It was real good," Jacobs tells Inside The Auburn Tigers. "We met up with a lot of the top players in the country. We got to hang out with them and play some games. It was a lot of fun."
Good friends with the talented wide receiver prospect Trovon Reed from Thibodaux, Jacobs says having him along on the trip gave him an even better perspective on Auburn because Reed had been on the campus before.
"He told me it was a place he liked," Jacobs says. "He wanted me to see it because I could possibly get an offer from them. He wanted me to see if for myself. Just because he likes it didn't mean I would like it. He wanted me to see if first-hand."
"It was real good," Jacobs says. "I know I fit in with some of the top players in the country. I must be doing something right. It was a good experience for everybody."
Still waiting on an offer from the Tigers, the 6-3, 300 defensive tackle says that he likes Gene Chizik and the new coaches at Auburn and is hoping to show them he's deserving of an offer with his play as a senior.
"I like the coaching staff," Jacobs says. "They remind me a lot of my high school coaching staff.
"They like me and they are going to look at my film," he adds. "I'm hoping they're real impressed with my film and I can get an offer from them."
