Prospect Says He Is Firmly Committed

An update on an in-state football prospect is featured.

Athens, Ala.--Running back Jason Jude says he decided not to take a visit he scheduled to Mississippi State this weekend.

The 6-0, 224, 4.5 back from Athens High School told Inside the Auburn Tigers that he is firmly committed to the Tigers and plans to sign with Coach Tommy Tuberville's team on Feb. 5th. Jude, a tailback in high school, is projected to play fullback at Auburn.

Jude originally committed to the Tigers last summer, but he missed much of his senior season due to an injury. He took an official visit to Auburn from Jan. 10-12th.

Jude has been cleared by his doctor to start running again. "I have been jogging for three or four weeks," he says.
