With national signing day just around the corner on Feb. 5th, the six-foot-five, 225-pounder wrapped up a busy recruiting trip schedule with a weekend in Auburn. Previous trips had been to LSU, Ohio State, North Carolina State and Oklahoma. Jean is no longer considering the Sooners, but says the Tigers and others are in the picture.
"It was a lot of fun," he says of his final official visit. "I really enjoyed being in Auburn. Auburn has always been on my list. Pretty much the entire weekend was a highlight. I really like the girls."
A standout in football and basketball, Jean says that he plans to be a college football player and he wants to be an impact player at tight end.
"A lot of people say I should wait until signing day for all the drama, but I don't know," he says, when asked what day he will announce his college choice. "I will probably make my decision sometime next week although I don't know if it will be signing day."
Although it was his fifth official recruiting trip, he says that he enjoyed visiting the Auburn campus. "These trips don't really get repetitive," he says. "I really had a lot of fun."
When asked where the Tigers stand on his list of favorites. "Auburn has always been one of my favorites," he says. "They were the first college to recruit me and I am very interested."
Tiger Ticket Extra: Jean says he didn't really like football growing up, but once he decided to give it a try the sport grew on him. He has ambitions of one day playing it in the NFL and can name many of the great tight ends in NFL history.
