Four Star Lineman Visiting Auburn

A bluechip football prospect is checking out Coach Gene Chizik's Auburn Tigers.

Saint Matthews, S.C.--Eric Mack, a four-star rated offensive line prospect from Calhoun County High School, is taking an official visit to Auburn this weekend.

The 6-3, 328-pounder visited Auburn unofficially earlier this year and said he really enjoyed meeting Coach Gene Chizik and his staff. However, on July 15th he gave a verbal commitment to the University of South Carolina, but is still looking at other colleges.

Mack, a visitor to Auburn's Big Cat Weekend in May that attracted talented prospects from around the Southeast, notes that Auburn is recruiting him as an offensive tackle. Offensive line recruits are a high priority for the Tigers, who signed just two offensive linemen last February.

Auburn also has another prospect in for an official visit as the Tigers take on the West Virginia Mountaineers. Steven Clark is a 6-6, 230 punter from Park Hill High in Kansas City, Mo.
