Adams Dismissed From Team

One of Auburn's fastest players will no longer be suiting up for the Tigers.

Auburn, Ala.--An already thin Auburn defense got even thinner on Thursday as sophomore cornerback Harry Adams was dismissed from the team for a violation of team rules according to a university spokesman.

A second-team cornerback for the 2009 Tigers, Adams had played in all seven games this season with six tackles to his credit.

One of the more promising signees in recent years for the Tigers, Adams failed to live up to the hype after suffering a knee injury during high school that hampered him early in his Auburn career. Moving back and forth from offense to defense, Adams was just beginning to look at home on the defensive side of the ball this season.

His departure leaves an already bare cupboard even moreso for the rest of the year. Currently the Tigers have just four scholarship cornerbacks with senior Walter McFadden, junior Demond Washington and sophomores Neiko Thorpe and D'Antoine Hood the only players at the position.
