Athletic Big Man Signs Letter Of Intent

This in-state prospect is an superb pass rusher that has speed to burn off the corner of the defense.

Birmingham, Ala.--One of the top athletes in Alabama this season put his name on the dotted line Wednesday to be an Auburn Tiger. Defensive end Lloyd Blevins from Wenonah High signed with the Tigers in a ceremony Wednesday at his high school.

A superb pass rusher with the speed to track opponents down from sideline to sideline, the 6-4, 225 Blevins had over 200 tackles and 20 sacks in his career as a three-year starter. He chose Auburn over South Carolina, Southern Miss, UAB and several other schools. He is also an exceptional basketball player that was recruited by several smaller schools for that sport.

Although he has improved his academics a great deal since earlier this year, he is not expected to qualify out of high school. Hewill likely have to begin his career at either a prep school or junior college.
