Honored Lineman Headed To Auburn

This award-winning football senior has signed with the Auburn Tigers.

Brentwood, Tenn.--Auburn's largest 2003 signee played both ways in high school, but projects as an offensive tackle in college.

King Dunlap, Jr., who is 6-8, 285 pounds and still growing, signed on Wednesday with the Tigers. The Brentwood Academy standout was named Mr. Football as the top lineman in Tennessee for the schools in Division II, Class AAA.

Dunlap, who picked the Tigers over Georgia Tech and others, is the son of a former NFL player, who saw action with the Baltimore Colts (1969-70) and Los Angeles Rams (1971).

With quick feet and lots of natural athletic ability, Dunlap is one of the more intriguing members of the 2003 Auburn signee class. He is one of three Brentwood Academy players signing with Auburn. The others are punter Kody Bliss and field goal kicker John Vaughn.

Dunlap also plays basketball for Brentwood Academy.
