He and fellow Auburn signee Montavian Collier are the fourth and fifth Bulldogs to join the Auburn program in the past three seasons. Two years ago, linebacker Lemarcus Rowell picked Auburn. Last year, Auburn got a pair of good ones in defensive lineman T.J. Jackson and Will Herring, who had an impressive fall as a redshirt freshman safety.
Doolittle, a 6-3, 265-pound fullback/defensive lineman, selected the Tigers over Georgia, LSU, Alabama and others. He is expected to get his first look as a college player on offense and has the potential to bolster the depth at fullback behind returning senior Brandon Johnson.
Doolittle saw most of his action on offense as a senior after focusing on defense as a junior.
