We're just out here having fun and enjoyed the practices," running back Michael Dyer tells Inside the Auburn Tigers. "We are trying to learn different techniques for the game on Saturday.
"Everybody's just trying to do the best they can since we don't have much time," Dyer adds. "We're just trying to learn as much as we can."
The teams are practicing at the Disney complex in Orlando, but will play on Saturday in St. Petersburg at the home of Major League Baseball's Tampa Bay Rays.
"I'm trying to recruit a lot," says Dyer, who is from Little Rock Christian Academy. "I've got a lot of friends here. I'm trying to get to know everybody. Making friends comes easy to me."
Dyer notes that he is focusing on getting ready to contribute as a freshman at Auburn.
Michael Dyer is shown at practice in Orlando.
"I'm working out at the Performance Center and at Powerhouse…just trying to get bigger," he says. "Each one of those help me get bigger, stronger, and quicker.
"I've about finished all my classes for graduation," he notes. "I graduate in May, but will take extra classes until then. I plan on reporting to Auburn in May."
