AU-Miss. State To Play On Thursday in 2010

Auburn, Ala.--The 2010 Auburn football game at Mississippi State originally scheduled for Sept. 11 has been moved to Thursday, Sept. 9, and will be televised nationally by ESPN.

The game, which will be both school's Southeastern Conference opener, will mark Auburn's ninth all-time Thursday evening game and first since 2008 at West Virginia.

The Tigers and Bulldogs previously met in an ESPN Thursday night contest in 2002, with Auburn winning, 42-14, in Starkville. Last season Auburn defeated the Bulldogs 49-24 in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Auburn is 6-2 all-time in Thursday evening games and leads the series 58-23-2 against Mississippi State. The 2010 Auburn football schedule is listed below.
