Gamecocks Out for Mack: AU In the Mix

Bluechip offensive line prospect said he is not going to South Carolina as he names his finalists a little more than two weeks before signing day.

St. Matthews, S.C.--Offensive tackle prospect Eric Mack told Inside the Auburn Tigers on Tuesday night that he has decommitted from South Carolina and will announce his college choice on Wednesday.

"I am de-committed from South Carolina and I will chose between either Auburn or Florida and will announce my decision on Wednesday," he said. "I am going to make the announcement at my school."

Commenting on why he picked the Tigers and Gators as his finalists, he said, "I really like the people at Auburn, the coaches and the whole area. I feel real comfortable there.

Mack, an Under Armour All-American, is a 6-3, 328-pounder who is ranked as a four star prospect by Scout.com.

"I like Florida because it has a really good football program and it is one of the top teams in the country."
