Recruiting Wrapup Party Set For Birmingham

Birmingham, Ala.--The Birmingham-Jefferson County Auburn Club is sponsoring a 2003 Auburn Football Recruiting Wrap-Up party for Tiger fans from 5:30-7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20th at the Southeastern Conference headquarters in downtown Birmingham.

The event is free to club members and non-members can attend by completing membership applications at the door.

AU defensive ends coach Terry Price will be there to discuss recruiting and the upcoming football season along with Inside the Auburn Tigers editor Mark Murphy. Price is an original member of head coach Tommy Tuberville's Auburn coaching staff. His position is expected to receive a major boost from a talented group of defensive ends in the new signee class.

Auburn posted a 9-4 record last season that included a bowl victory over Penn State. Auburn returns most of its key players from the 2002 season and the team will be bolstered by a recruiting class that is ranked 10th nationally by network.

The Southeastern Conference headquarter building is located adjacent to the civic center at 2201 Richard Arrington Blvd. North.
