Linebacker White Headed to Auburn

Auburn needs help at linebacker and signee Jawara White will have a chance to do something about that need.

Troy, Ala.--Three-star linebacker Jawara White of Charles Henderson High School has signed his national letter of intent to play football for the Auburn Tigers.

White, who is nicknamed "Rah-Rah," is rated as the No. 30 outside linebacker recruit in the nation by Scout.com.

The athletic 6-2, 217-pound linebacker committed to Auburn on June 8 over other traditional powers FSU, Florida and Cal. Following a senior season in which he was bothered some by nagging injuries he was selected to take part in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game.

Though he battled injuries, he still was able to record 65 tackles, one interception and three fumble recoveries on defense. He scored five offensive touchdowns as well.
