Ryan White from Tallahassee, Fla., has signed scholarship papers to play for the Auburn Tigers.
Tallahassee, Fla.--A player who was a star quarterback at Lincoln High School has signed with Coach Gene Chizik
's Tigers, but he is expected to line up in college on the other side of the football.
Ryan White, a 5-11, 185-pounder, is slated to play cornerback in college, the position his father, Will White, excelled at as a Florida Gator from 1989-1992.
White says he chose Auburn over Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Arkansas and around 10 other scholarship offers.
A two-sport athlete at Lincoln High, the school that send starting linebacker Craig Stevens to Auburn as well as backup safety Mike Slade, White has a best 100 meters time of 10.9 seconds.
