Talented OL Prospect Visits Auburn

Center prospect Reese Dismukes talks about his unofficial visit to Auburn on Saturday.

Spanish Fort, Ala.--One of the top offensive line prospects in the South this year, 6-3, 280 Reese Dismukes, has offers from all over and on Saturday took a trip to check out one of his favorites, the Auburn Tigers.

Spending the day with Auburn commitment Spencer Region and talking with Gene Chizik and the coaching staff, Dismukes says his trip was a good one.

"It went good," Dismukes tells Inside The Auburn Tigers. "I got to talk to all the coaches and a few of the players. It's better than coming to a junior day when you have other people around. You get a chance to see a lot more.

"They've got things going in the right direction," he adds. "They are doing the right thing. They are all great guys. I just like the family atmosphere. Everyone likes everyone. They all have a good relationship."

One of Auburn's biggest draws for an offensive lineman is Coach Jeff Grimes. Dismukes says he likes what he sees from Grimes and enjoys the chance to talk to him whenever possible. With depth concerns at the center position, he notes that's something that definitely helps Auburn's case.

"Playing time is a big thing for me," Dismukes says. "It's something that will have a big part for me."

Another of the positives for Auburn is Region. Choosing the Tigers over Alabama, the big lineman from Cullman is a friend of Dismukes' and somebody he says he talks to quite a bit.

"I met Spencer at camp and we've been friends since then," Dismukes says. "He's a good guy. It won't really factor into my decision that he's committed to Auburn. It impacts it a little bit, but it's not something I'll make my decision off of."

With a strong interest in both Auburn and Alabama early in the process, Dismukes says right now he's looking at a group of schools with no set timetable to make his decision.

"I'm looking at Florida State, Auburn, Alabama, Stanford and Ole Miss," he says. "That's about it.

"I'm just going to sit back and think about things, just get away for a weekend," Dismukes adds. "I just want to pray about it some more. I'll probably make a decision in the next few months. I'm not sure yet."

Dismukes says he plans to visit Florida State in the coming weeks and will trip to see both Auburn and Alabama as well during spring practice.
