Coach John Pawlowksi's Tigers improved to 14-5 overall going into Tuesday night's road game in Birmingham vs. Samford. The Tigers will play on Wednesday night in Montgomery vs. Alabama.
Morris, who hit four home runs in the series vs. the Bulldogs, has 31 for his career, which ranks him 10th in Auburn history. He is tied for the SEC lead this season with eight.
For the season he leads the Tigers in batting average at .425 and his .793 slugging percentage is second in the league behind teammate Brian Fletcher.
Morris is also the leader among SEC batters in hits with 37 and total bases with 69.
The Tigers will return to SEC action this weekend as South Carolina visits Plainsman Park for a three-game series that opens on Friday.
