Tickets Selling Well to AU's Tourney Opener

Birmingham, Ala.--Southeastern Conference officials announced on Sunday that session one reserved tickets for Auburn's opening round SEC Baseball Tournament game are sold out, but general admission seats are available.

Auburn goes into the tournament as the SEC West champion and the No. 2 seed at the eight-team event that starts on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. as the Tigers take on No. 7 seed Alabama.

South Carolina will play Ole Miss on Wednesday 30 minutes after the Auburn game.

Reserved seats are $17 each and general admission tickets are $12 each.

SEC officials say there are a limited number of reserved tournament books (tickets for each game) for $100 and general admission books for $75. The tournament will run Wednesday through Sunday at Regions Park in Hoover, Ala.

Tickets can be purchased on-line at or by telephone at (800) 732-4849. Tickets will also be available at the Regions Park on game days.

Coach John Pawlowski's auburn team comes into the tournament after sweeping a three-game series at Ole Miss from Thursday through Saturday. The Tigers are 39-17 overall and 20-10 in the conference. Alabama is 34-21 overall and 15-15 in the SEC.
