"It has been very busy," the 6-3, 235 Harrell tells Inside The Auburn Tigers. "A lot of schools have come through. I'm hearing from Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, Arkansas State, Tennessee, Troy, UAB and a few others. All of them have offered except Arkansas State."
With plenty of options on where to go to school, Harrell says he's in no hurry to trim down to just a few schools. A very level-headed prospect, he notes that the one goal he has right now is to make his choice so he can give his full attention to his season next year.
"I'm probably going to narrow my list down sometime this summer," Harrell says. "I want to make my decision sometime around the beginning of my football season. I want to concentrate on my senior year.
"I'll be looking for somewhere close to home," Harrell adds. "I want to play early also. That's important."
One of the schools that is on his radar is Auburn. Making a couple of visits to the Plains during the spring and a few more last season for football games, Harrell says he likes a lot about the Tigers at the moment.
"I like the coaching staff," Harrell says. "They are great. They have good personalities. I like the school and the campus, plus it's kind of close to home too."
He'll have another chance to get a feel for Auburn and the coaching staff this weekend when he's expected to be up for the Big Cat Weekend on the Plains along with several of the top prospects around the country. He says he's looking forward to seeing what all is in store for the players.
"I don't know too much about it," Harrell says. "I just know we'll have fun all day. That will be fun to get to know other guys. I just want to have fun and spend time with the coaches and other recruits. One day we might become teammates."
In addition to his Auburn visit this weekend, Harrell says he plans to visit the Plains for a summer camp as well as Alabama and a lineman camp in Mississippi.
