"It was awesome," O'Reilly says. "I got a chance to hang out with some big recruits like Watts Dantzler. I got to know about a bunch of the guys."
The offensive lineman from Pope High School says he enjoyed spending time with the Auburn coaches and competing in non-football events with other prospects like AU offensive lineman commitment Reese Dismukes from Spanish Fort.
"The best part was probably watching Reese stuff his face with oreo cake and getting it everywhere in one of the contests," O'Reilly says with a laugh.
His least favorite part was the watermelon eating contest. "I ate the watermelon and I hate watermelon," he says. "I ate about two bites and almost got sick. I stood up at the table and resigned from the event."
O'Reilly says he is strongly committed to the Tigers even though one of his friends in the recruiting process, Spencer Region, de-committed from Auburn.
Asked if that has any effect on him, O'Reilly answers, "Not at all. It is a little bit of a disappointment. Back when I committed I thought if anything happened with Spencer or Reese would it affect me and it is something I decided wouldn't make a difference because Auburn is where I want to go."
With O'Reilly done with recruiting, he isn't going to be on the camp circuit this summer. "I am going to be a lifeguard," he says. "I am going to be working on my tan."
