Game Time Set for Clemson at AU Football

The Clemson at Auburn football game's start time was announced on Thursday.

Auburn, Ala.--A game time has been set for the Clemson at Auburn football game as the two schools renew an old rivalry for the 2010 season.

The game will kick off at 6 p.m. CDT on Saturday, Sept. 18th at Jordan-Hare Stadium and will be televised by ESPN.

Auburn leads the series 33-11-1 with the last matchup coming in on Dec. 31, 2007 in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl in Atlanta where Auburn took a 21-17 victory.

The two teams first meet in 1899 with Auburn winning a home game 34-0. Auburn has won 19 of the 23 games played between the two teams in Auburn.

Clemson will play home games vs. North Texas and Presbyterian before traveling to Auburn. Coach Dabo Swinney's team posted a 9-5 record last season that included a Music City Bowl victory vs. Kentucky. The Tigers return 13 starters from that squad.

The Auburn vs. Clemson game is the second announced for TV coverage on ESPN. Auburn's SEC opener on Thursday, Sept. 9th at Mississippi State is set for a 6:30 p.m. start.
