Notes from Auburn's 9-7 NCAA Baseball Tournament victory over Jacksonville State are featured.

Auburn, Ala.--The following are notes from Auburn's 9-7 victory over Jacksonville State on Friday night at Plainsman Park in the opening round of the NCAA Baseball Auburn Regional.

*Auburn improved its all-time record to 37-27 in NCAA baseball regionals.

*Auburn improved its all-time record to 13-5 in opening round games of NCAA regionals.

*The Tigers have won three consecutive regional openers.

*Coach Joh Pawlowski's Tigers added two bunt hits tonight and has 40 for the season and 57 sacrifice bunts.

*The Tigers added three home runs, to extend their school record total to 120.

*Friday's games opened the fourth NCAA Baseball Regional in Plainsman Park history.

*The Tigers are trying to win a regional for the sixth time in school history and for the first time since 1999.

*In addition to the sellout crowd in the park, Auburn officials estimate another 1,500 fans watched the action from vantage points outside the park.

*Auburn right fielder Justin Fradejas hit his second home run of the season. The previous one was in the season opener.

"We joke around about it a lot,so it was a big relief to hit another one,"?he says. "I'm not that kind of hitter, but I got a hold of that one and luckily it left the park. Don't look for too many of those from me, though."
