Another Signee Getting Early Start at Auburn

Most of Auburn's 2010 football signees are already on campus getting a head start on their first season at AU.

Auburn, Ala.--Add safety Demetruce McNeal to the group of 2010 Auburn football signees getting an early start on their college experience.

McNeal, who is 6-1, 190 from Banneker High School in College Park, Ga., is scheduled to start classes on Monday at Auburn along with his high school teammate, receiver Shaun Kitchens.

McNeal, who committed to Auburn last July after multiple standout performances at AU summer camps, followed that with a strong senior season.

The Banneker High standouts join offensive linemen Ed Christian, Tunde Fariyike, Eric Mack and Chad Slade as new enrollees at Auburn along with running back Ladarious Phillips, linebackers Jake Holland and Jawara White, kicker Cody Parkey and defensive end Corey Lemonier along with defensive backs Chris Davis, Jonathon Mincy and Ryan White.

Wide receiver Antonio Goodwin, who had planned to start classes on Monday, will instead arrive in Auburn on July 17th.

Members of the 2010 class who enrolled at Auburn in May include Kenneth Carter, Steven Clark, Justin Delaine, Michael Dyer, Dakota Mosley, LaDarius Owens, Trovon Reed, Ryan Smith and Jeffrey Whitaker.

The Tigers also signed five players who enrolled in January. That group includes juco transfers Cameron Newton, Brandon Mosley and Rozell Gayden plus early high school graduates Jessel Curry and Craig Sanders.
