Six Tigers Make Coaches All-SEC Teams

Southeastern Conference coaches have chosen four Auburn seniors and two juniors to their all-conference teams.

Birmingham, Ala.--Two Tigers have been named to the 2010 Preseason All-SEC Coaches Football Team announced on Tuesday, a day before the start of the annual Southeastern Conference Football Media Days.

Senior middle linebacker Josh Bynes, who led the Tigers in tackles last year with 104, is a first team selection as is senior offensive tackle Lee Ziemba, a three-year starter and a second team all-league pick last season.

Josh Bynes has started 21 consecutive games for the Tigers.

Senior center Ryan Pugh and senior linebacker Craig Stevens are second team All-SEC selections while junior wide receiver Darvin Adams and junior cornerback Neiko Thorpe are second team picks.

Ziemba has started every game for the Tigers since he arrived at Auburn in 2007, a season in which he received All-SEC honors.

Adams caught a school-record 60 passes last season. He finished the year with 997 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. He set an Outback Bowl record with 12 catches in Auburn's win vs. Northwestern.

Darvin Adams holds his MVP Trophy from the Outback Bowl.

Pugh, who broke into the starting lineup as a tackle during his freshman season in 2007, has 31 career starts including every game the past two years. He was an AP All-SEC second team selection at center as a junior.

Stevens enters his final season on a streak of 26 consecutive starts. He finished second to Bynes in tackles last year with 95.

Thorpe finished third on the team in tackles in 2009 with 84 including the final tackle of the season in overtime to preserve the Outback Bowl victory vs. Northwestern on a trick play by the Wildcats.

Auburn's six selections to the All-SEC teams tie Georgia for the third most behind Florida's 10 and Alabama's nine.

Bynes, Ziemba and Aairon Savage will join Gene Chizik for day three of SEC Media Days on Friday in Hoover, Ala.
