Georgia Standout Talks Auburn, Favorites

Georgia prospect Alvin Dupree talks about his recent camp experience at Auburn.

Irwinton, Ga.--Big Alvin Dupree is one of the top tight end prospects in Georgia this year and recently made a visit to Auburn for a Senior Mini-Camp.

After checking the out campus once again and having the opportunity to sit down and talk with the coaching staff, the 6-5, 220 Dupree says the Tigers are high on his list as he heads into his senior year.

"I liked everything about Auburn," Dupree says. "I like the whole atmosphere. The dorms, the field, the coaches, everything. The camp was well put together. I really liked how everything went."

Being recruited by most schools as a tight end with Georgia Tech looking at him on the defensive side of the ball, Dupree says at the moment coach Gene Chizik's program is at the top of his list.

"Right now Auburn is at the top for me," Dupree says. "Then Georgia, Georgia Tech and Tennessee. I have an offer from Tennessee."

A standout in football and basketball for Wilkinson County High, Dupree notes the Auburn coaching staff has talked to him about an offer, but at this moment he doesn't have one. He did say how big it would be to get an offer from his leader.

"Auburn's coaches said an offer could be coming soon," Dupree says. "That would mean a lot to me. I would really like to go to school there."

Waiting to see what other schools come on board to join Tennessee in the offer line, Dupree says he would like to pull the trigger soon if he gets the right feeling. "I really want to go ahead and get it out of the way."
