Two For The Tigers

Tony Barbee scored a pair of commitments Wednesday evening.

Tony Barbee double dipped Wednesday night. The new Auburn coach scored a pair of pledges from Birmingham (Ala.) Central Park Christain seniors Willy Kouassi and Bernard Marena.

Kouassi, a 6-10 center, was sold. "Auburn is a great fit for me," Kouassi said. "I feel like the playing time and the ability to start as a freshman is what i need."

Both are natives of the Ivory Coast. Marena is a 6-7 wing forward who's calling card is his versatility. "Their two top choices were UAB and Auburn," Team Alabama coach Darien Knox said. "Auburn had their majors and there's a lack of playing time at Auburn. They have the opportunity to play as freshmen."
