Zaramo Picks Ball State

Ball State added its 5th verbal commitment in the Class of 2012.

Carlutorbantu Zaramo, a 6-4 302 two-way tackle from Cleveland's Brush High School has verbally committed to Ball State University.

Zaramo's decision makes him the 5th commitment for Ball State Head Coach Pete Lembo's class of 2012.

"I visited recently and it really seemed like a great place to be," Zaramo said of his choice. "Ball State has strong academics; and the team is really looking up. It just seemed like a good situation all around."

Zaramo, who owns a 3.2 GPA and plans to major in computer science, chose the Cardinals over offers from Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Akron, Youngstown State and Fordham.

According to Zaramo, who seemed equally adept at playing both Defensive Tackle and Offensive Tackle, the Cardinals are planning on using him on defense.

"They want me at Defensive Tackle," Zaramo said. "They are planning on being a 4-3 defense, so I will be a DT."

With his college choice out of the way, Carlu can now focus on a strong senior season for Brush.

"We should be really good," Zaramo said. "We have some talent and we are working hard in the preseason. We hope to do good things this year."
