North Carolina ATH likes Cardinals

Ball State added 6 players in the Class of 2013. Coach Pete Lembo continues to work the state for 2014.

From the moment Pete Lembo and the BSU coaching staff arrived in Muncie, they have been building a pipeline to North Carolina.

After taking six players from North Carolina in the 2013 class, Ball State is once again targeting the Tarheel state for 2014.

One player on the staff's radar is 5'7 148 pound RB/CB Dequavius Bowman from Charlotte's Garinger High.

As a Junior, Bowman rushed for 749 yards and 8 touchdowns, but is being recruited as a slot receiver. Bowman does not currently have any offers, but has recently seen his recruitment begin to take off. He is currently being recruited by Ball State, Appalachian State, East Carolina and Michigan State.

He will be visiting Ball State on July 13th and hopes to leave Muncie with an offer.

When asked about Ball State, Bowman replied: "Ball State and Coach Lynch are awesome. I love it, the playing style, the tempo, atmosphere and also the academics. I know of and am a big fan of Jahwan Edwards".

Bowman's coach has also given him a nickname that will be very familiar to the Ball State faithful: "Lil Jamill" after Ball State's own Jamill Smith. When asked about Smith Bowman said: "He is a wonderful player, I like the way he runs his routes, he is one of my favorite collegiate players."
