Sparkman Enjoys Ball State Visit

The Louisville (KY) Male Center was one of 60 recruits in attendance for Saturday's thrilling 27-24 victory over Kent State.

Louisville Male Center Houston Sparkman, a 2015 prospect, picked a great weekend to visit Ball State.

With sunny skies, temperatures in the 70s and a solid Homecoming crowd, Sparkman had a chance to see a wonderful atmosphere and a thrilling 27-24, last minute victory for the Cardinals on Saturday.

"It was very fun," the 6-1 260 Sparkman said. I really liked what I heard from the coaches and the game was great.

"I got to see the weight room, which I really liked a lot. I like the stadium too. The atmosphere around campus was very good. It made me want to go play that day."

Sparkman describes himself as a "positive and very focused" player that loves "pressure and competition too."

"I have good technique and I'm powerful," he added. "I hold on to blocks and drive people out. Also, I haven't given up a sack in two years of varsity."

Along with his visit to Ball State, Sparkman also has a full docket of trips to make along with ones he has already completed.

"I visited Buffalo two weeks ago," Sparkman said. "And I am taking a visit down to Missouri this weekend."
