Ball State Makes Coaching Staff Changes

Less than a week after Offensive Coordinator Rich Skrosky left to become the Head Coach at Elon, Ball State and Head Coach Pete Lembo made changes to the staff.

A handful of changes to the Ball State Football Coaching staff were announced on Monday in light of the departure of former Offensive Coordinator Rich Skrosky, who left to become head coach at Elon.

With Skrosky's departure, Coach Pete Lembo announced that assistant coach Joey Lynch has been named as the team's new Offensive Coordinator. Lynch, who has been an assistant with Ball State since 2009, has served most recently as coach of the Tight Ends and Recruiting Coordinator for the Cardinals.

A former starting QB and 4-time letterwinner for the Cardinals, Lynch, a graduate of Delta High School in Muncie, takes over the reins of the most prolific offense in Ball State football history as it prepares for its bowl game against Arkansas State in the Bowl in Mobile, AL on Jan. 5th.

Also announced is the promotion of Offensive Line coach Nick Tabacca to the position of run game coordinator. Tabacca is also a former letterwinner and starting OC for the Cardinals.

One final change is defensive line coach Chad Wilt will assume duties as Recruiting Coordinator.
