What we do know, is that barring any unforeseen changes, Coach Pete Lembo will welcome aboard 18 new commits (19 counting early-enrollee David Morrison) on Wednesday when they sign their National Letter of Intent Paperwork.
What we don't know is that there may be some other surprises afoot.
Samuels, who visited a few weeks back, had decomitted from Georgia State after coming to his visit in Muncie, but shortly after leaving, the 6-2 300 athlete from Georgia added an offer from Syracuse, whom he visited last weekend. Samuels has been tight lipped about his choice and will announce on signing day.
Timmons, a 6-0 290 DT from New Mexico Military College, picked up an offer earlier from the Cardinals, who also offered him as a prep back in 2012. Timmons had an earlier offer from Miami, but seems to have only a few options at this point. Timmons visited Muncie this past weekend.
Also still in the mix is Warren Central DE Max Hernandez. We know that Hernandez also visited recently, but we are not sure if an offer was extended at that time. The 6-3 245 DE and Kicker doesn't currently have any FBS level offers, but was a very productive lineman for the Class 6A Indiana State Champs.
Anyone else who could pop up?
Only the staff truly knows the answer to this question, but with lingering needs for depth at DE, DT and RB there is always the possibility of a JUCO or unknown prep or post-grad player who pops up at the last second.
