As a sophomore, he shined bright at the summer camp at Ball State; the problem was he was tiny. Flash forward to his summer before his senior year. A now 5-9 185 Green was again lighting it up at the Ball State Summer Camp. This time the Cardinal Coaches couldn't ignore Green and they ended up offering which was followed later by a commitment.
Green, who is a speedy RB with the ability to make people miss in space and make big plays is a solid eventual replacement for Horactio Banks as a change of pace, speed back.
Despite battling injuries as a senior, Green was still able to post 1,015 yards rushing, but just 3 touchdowns. He also caught 11 passes.
Strengths: Speed and wiggle. Green can flat out fly and is electric with the ball in his hands. He is a home run threat of a back that can also catch passes and occasionally line up in the slot.
What He Needs to Work On: Green needs to get healthy and after an injury plagued senior year, durability is a worry. A year of weight training from Coach Dave Feely will make a world of difference for Green though.
What to Expect This Coming Season: Green probably will be a redshirt, but that is okay. He will be able to heal and add strength, which will benefit him in the long run. Plus with 3 RBs returning on the depth chart, carries would be limited.
