2015 Ball State Target: Nick Raby

Our series on the 2015 Class and what prospects surely are on the radar for Ball State Football.

Cape Coral, Florida's powerhouse program Ida Baker High School has all the makings of a burgeoning pipeline of talent for Ball State University. After the Cardinals signed WR/DB Roy Denson a season ago, Ball State is again knocking on the Florida schools door looking at their top talent. Included in that group is DE Nick Raby.

The 6-4 255 Raby is a perfect 3-4 DE that could even bulk up and slide inside as a DT in a 4-3 defense.

Raby, who has only recently been getting contact from the Cardinals, has already set up unofficial visits with Akron and Middle Tennessee State in the comin weeks.

Quick scouting report: Raby is a strong and stout DE that will fit in well holding the edge and stuffing the run in a 3-4 defense. He is athletic enough to pressure the QB and track down a RB in pursuit. While not a speedy or flashy edge rusher, Raby has a high motor and a tenacity that gets him in the backfield with regularity and makes him tough to block.
