Now the 6-3 195 athlete has a list of suitors and recently visited Ball State.
"I have been talking with Coach (Daryl) Dixon and got a change to get to Ball State today," Kelly-Martin said. "It is a great school."
Despite having taken some visits already to other schools, Kelly-Martin spoke about a few things that really set Ball State apart.
"We got to tour the facilities and stadium there," he said. "Then I talked to Coach Lembo for a little bit before I sat down with Coach Dixon. That was really cool. Coach Dixon and I went over my game film and he gave me somethings to really work on for next year. I really appreciated that. That was really different for me. Other schools aren't as personal as Ball State. They don't have a junior day or anything, they want you to come when you want and then they spend that time with you and it really sets them apart."
As for that Ball State offer? Kelly-Martin hopes to hear something as soon as Monday.
Aside from the Cardinals though, Kelly-Martin is hearing from a wide range of other schools.
"I had good visits with Missouri, Northern Illinois and Indiana," Kelly-Martin said. "I also have been talking to Dartmouth, Central Michigan, Princeton, Auburn and some others. I plan on getting to Central Michigan next and then Eastern Michigan and Northern Illinois again in the future. I am really excited about Ball State though."
With recruiting heating up fast for Kelly-Martin, the next thing on his list is to get that summer schedule moving forward.
"As far as camps," he said. "I know that I will be getting to Northern and Ball State for sure."
