Our series on the 2015 Class and what prospects surely are on the radar for Ball State Football.

One of the top QB recruits in the state of Indiana, Terre Haute South Vigo's Timmy Herrin made a visit to Ball State this weekend and came away very impressed.

"It was awesome," Herrin said. "I had a blast seeing the facilities and meeting the coaches."

Herrin, who is a good looking pocket passing QB, stands 6-5 195 and has a strong and live arm. During his junior year, he completed 57% of his passes en route to 2,075 yards and 20 TDs.

Herrin was able to talk to several coaches on Sunday and also took in some practice as well.

"I talked to Coach (Kevin) Kelly and Coach (Joey) Lynch," Herrin said. "I also got to meet Coach (Pete) Lembo. I like the atmosphere of practice and I really liked the way the offense is ran there."

Herrin said he is also receiving interest from Toledo, Ohio, Brown, Cornell, Penn and Indiana.
