Battle Enjoys Ball State Visit

Ball State entertained a bevy of potential recruits over the weekend including one of the top D-linemen in Michigan.

Tiroca Battle, a 6-1 255 DE/DT from Auburn Hills (MI) Avondale High School made a trip down to Muncie, IN to take in a Ball State spring practice and to also see the facilities.

" I had a great time at Ball State," Battle said. "The campus was beautiful and I enjoyed the intensity of practice. I also loved how open armed the coaches were."

Battle, who has also visited Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan and Akron, had tons of praise for the Ball State program.

"Besides the beauty of the campus, the kindness of the players and coaches stuck out the most," Battle said. "Usually players and coaches aren't as open with you on your first day visiting. When I arrived there, I felt as if I were another player practicing on the field with the team."

Battle also was especially impressed with the offensive and defensive line coaches.

"The coaches I received attention from the most were Coach (Nick) Siatras and Coach (John) Strollo," Battle said. "I love the intensity they brought in practice and how open they were when talking to players and recruits who had questions in practice."

Aside from his interest from the Cardinals, CMU, EMU and Akron, Battle is also in contact with Western Michigan, Illinois, Missouri and Northern Illinois.
