"I decided on Ball State, because all the coaches have put together the best program in the Mid-American Conference," the 6-5 290 Ricketts said. "They consider everyone as family and I felt like I was already part of the family right when I walked into the doors. The university is just amazing. I love and enjoy everything about Ball State."The enthusiasm that Ricketts displays for his future college program extends into his veal for playing the game he loves.
"My style of playing is just trying to beat the guy in front of me," Ricketts said of the strengths on the football field. "Being physical and doing the fundamentals in the game of football. Always trying my best to improve and win the line of scrimmage. What I bring to the football program is using every skill possible to win. Being very physical and also doing all the fundamentals day by day in practice and games."
With his decision out of the way, Ricketts can now focus on his senior year.
"My goals for this upcoming season is staying strong," Ricketts said. "I want to prevent from getting injured, and improving on my game. Push myself to the max every down so I know I earned a spot on the team for Ball State. I also want to lead the team and show everyone the way to improve on their game."
