Cardinal Commit Capsule: Clayton Cook

Indiana WR one of the first 4 commitments for Ball State in the Class of 2015.

Ball State Verbal Commit: Clayton Cook, 6-3 175 WR from Syracuse, IN (Wawasee)

Why Ball State: "Well, I visited one of their spring football practices and was impressed with the coaches and the facility. My cousin is attending Ball State so I got to stay in the dorm with him and I liked the experience. I got a tour of the campus and really enjoyed the campus."

Interest/Offers: Only offer is Ball State. Interest from Marian University, Walsh, and Indiana State.

Scouting Report: Cook is a long and athletic target that has feasted on lower level competition during his prep career. At 6-3, Cook has the size to help stretch the field and make plays. Cook is just starting to grow into his body and will surely add another 15-20 pounds of muscle to his frame which will make his above average athleticism more lethal. Cook has good hands and can serve as a short to intermediate possession receiver in situations where he is not facing a 1-on-1. He shows a solid base of craftiness and skill at his position that will be enhanced with collegiate coaching. In all, Cook was a great find. A high performer from an area that has not produced a ton of college level football talent.
