Houston (Tex.) Alief Taylor
Committed to Oklahoma State
Chosen over Oregon State, Texas Tech, Missouri, Ohio State, LSU

Run Down: It's really simple, McGruder has been pulling in lots of offers this off season from a number of the who's who in college football. Has he impressed a number of coaches? Yes. Only thing he hasn't done is make any visits, which was set to take place this summer. He wanted to get out to LSU, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State this summer for unofficial visits or camps. Before any of that happened, the latter of the schools mentioned got the call saying that he wanted to commit.

What this means for Oklahoma State: OSU is getting a big body guy, who is great in the box for making plays in the run game. He does have a great ability to cover receivers in the slot, but that is not the strength of his game. Physically, he looks as good as anyone at this level and has the size to transition to college well. So well to the fact that a college coach shared with Scout.com the idea that McGruder may even end up growing into a linebacker. It's not too farfetched of an idea based on his current size, but that's great place for the Oklahoma State coaches to be in if that is the case.

In the Words of McGruder: "The coaches mainly (were the reason for the commitment). That was a big part in it. Plus, I know that they aren't messing with me, knowing that I can really come in and have a chance of playing."
