Black Pulls in Ball State Offer

JUCO WR one of three Lackawanna players with Ball State offers.

DeAndre Black, an under the radar Slot WR from Lacakwanna Community College, finally got that first FBS offer.

“It’s exciting,” Black said. “it’s my first single A offer. I know a little something (about Ball State), but I am coming on a visit on December 5th-7th.”

Black, a 6-0 180 WR with 4.39 speed, totaled 25 receptions, 448 yards and 4 TDs for Lackawanna.

”I am quick, have soft hands. I do most of my damage from the slot, but can also play outside,” Black said about his skill set. “I’m also a dangerous punt returner (average over 20 yards a return last season.”

Black isn’t the only Lackawanna player with an offer from Ball State.

The Cardinals have also offered 6-2 280 DT, John Whitman who posted 65 tackles, 6 .5 sacks this season and 6-0 190 Safety Rontrell Peyton, who posted 61 tackles, 1 sack, 2 INTs.

Black stated that although he and his teammates all have Ball State offers, playing with his current teammates will not be the final component to his decision making process.

”Nice environment that’s comfortable and fitting.” Black said.
