Ball State football adds 4 at semester

The Ball State football team welcomed 4 new players to the roster at the semester break.

As spring classes start and 2015 begins, the Ball State football team and head coach Pete Lembo welcome aboard 4 new players to the roster. Three players, Rontrell Peyton, James Gilbert & Morgan Hagee, are early enrollees as part of the 2015 class. The other, Jacob White, enrolled after spending the past season as a greyshirt as part of the 2014 recruiting class.

Peyton, a 5-11 185 S from Lackawanna Community College in Pennsylvania, tallied 61 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, a sack, 2 INTs, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery this past season.

Gilbert, a 5-10 190 RB from Indianapolis Arsenal Tech, was named Indianapolis Public Schools player of the year this past season on his way to earning all-state honors and setting the Tech career rushing record.

Hagee, a 5-11 165 K from Plainfield, IN, made 25 of 26 extra point attempts and connected on 11 of 14 field goals. For his career, Hagee connected on 58 of 60 extra point attempts and 16 of 21 field goals despite missing most of the junior season to injury.

White, a 6-0 215 LB from Hinsdale Central in Illinois, graduated in 2014 and complied 69 tackles while also rushing for 429 yards and 4 touchdowns.
