Kentucky Duo Visits Ball State

Two of the top players from the Bluegrass State visited Ball State on Friday and one came away with an offer.

It was well worth the trip north for Ashland (KY) Blazer RB Quinton Baker and OLB/DE Drew O’Bryan.

Baker nabs Ball State offer

Baker, a 5-8 176 RB, came away with an offer from the Cardinals during the visit.

“The visit went good,” Baker said. “They offered me.”

One of the top prospects in the Bluegrass State, Baker had high remarks for the Cardinals program.

” It feels great to be able to come play for Coach Lembo,” Baker said of the offer. “He doesn't just hand them out.”

So what did the Cardinals see in Baker that made them offer?

“Just a speed back with power,” Baker said.

Baker, who holds offers from Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky and Ohio, has also scheduled visits coming up with Tennessee and Purdue.

O’Bryan Gets Good News

O’Bryan, a 6-3 230 DE/OLB, also had a great time on the visit and came away with some interesting news.

”We toured the football facility first then went through the school to see what we are going to major in,” O’Bryan said. “We then had meetings with the coaches again. Coach Lembo said that they were going to decide what position to offer me on Monday. It will be either DE or LB.”

As for what O’Bryan brings to the field, the multi-positional talent received a great report from the Cardinal coaching staff.

’”They like my quickness and play making ability as a big guy they said,” Baker said.

O’Bryan has an offer from West Florida right now and has visited Ohio as well as getting recruited by Purdue, Charlotte and Eastern Kentucky.
