Beech Picks up First

A visit on Thursday, led to an offer for the Ohio Offensive Lineman.

Chris Beech didn’t know what to expect when he visited Ball State on Thursday, but he certainly came away impressed.

” I went on a visit up there yesterday and had meeting with Coach (Pete) Lembo and he gave me the offer,” Beech said. “It feels great! I wasn't sure going in there if I was going to (get the offer) or not but I’m glad that Coach Lembo took a chance on me and offered.”

For Beech, a 6-2 280 Center from Kettering (OH) powerhouse Archbishop Alter, it was his first offer, which was made even more special by the visit he had at Ball State.

” Yeah I liked it a lot,” Beech said. “The campus was beautiful and I like the small classes. I like the coaches a lot too. I could really tell Coach Lembo cared about his players on and off the field. I also liked the O line coach (John) Strollo.”

Beech, who is also planning visits soon to Toledo (2/28) and Miami (3/7), is something of a rariety in high school as he is a Center with great size and athleticism.

”I believe that I am a natural center, have quick feet and can make blocks up field.”
