Kirtz Lands Ball State Offer

Ball State was the first to extend a scholarship offer to one of Indiana’s finest receivers.

Brownsburg’s Tyler Kirtz said his coach told him to call Coach Daryl Dixon from Ball State, but didn’t say why. Following the conversation though, it was clear that the Cardinals were high on the receiver as they offer him a scholarship.

”It's a huge sigh of relief to know that I have the capability to play D1 football,” Kirtz said. “Everybody says the first one is the hardest. So hopefully it's easier (to get more offers) from here.”

Although Kirtz hasn’t visited the campus, the fact that Ball State is an in-state institution is not lost on the 6-2 190 WR.

”It does make it more special because I've had relatives that have went to Ball State so I know It will make them happy and proud.” He said.

Kirtz reports that he is also hearing from Mid-American Conference schools like Western Michigan and Toledo along with Purdue, Penn State and Indiana.

Quick Scouting Report

Kirtz is a big and athletic WR that has solid speed and very good hands. He can stretch defenses with his size and speed or can quickly get separation and make the tough catch.
